The 16th Middle East Paper ME/Tissue ME/Print2Pack Exhibition officially kicked off on September 8, 2024, with booths attracting over 25 countries and 400 exhibitors, covering an exhibition area of over 20000 square meters. Attracted IPM, El Salam Paper, Misr Edfu, Kipas Kagit, Qena Paper, Masria Paper, Hamd Paper, Egy Pulp, Neom Paper, Cellu Paper, Carbona Paper and other packaging industry paper factories to participate together.
It is an honor to invite Dr. Yasmin Fouad, the Minister of Environment of Egypt, to attend the opening ceremony of the exhibition and participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony. Also in attendance at the opening ceremony are Dr. Ali Abu Sanna, Executive Director of the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Service, Mr. Sami Safran, Chairman of the Arab Paper, Printing and Packaging Industry Alliance, Nadeem Elias, Chief Engineer of the Printing and Packaging Industry Chamber of Commerce, and ambassadors from Uganda, Ghana, Namibia, Malawi, Indonesia, and Congo.
Dr. Yasmin Fouad stated that the development of the paper and cardboard industry confirms the Egyptian government’s support for reuse and sustainable environmental development. The minister pointed out that more and more recycled paper is also being used in the field of household paper, and many institutions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Environment are constantly promoting the application of paper bag packaging products to reduce the harm of plastic bags and other plastic products to the environment.
Paper ME/Tissue ME/Print2Pack gathered professional representatives from Egypt, Arab countries, and other countries to achieve a high degree of integration in the entire industry chain of paper, cardboard, toilet paper, and packaging printing during the three-day exhibition and promotion period. They released new technologies, facilitated new businesses, established new collaborations, and achieved new goals.
It should be noted that as an important source of exhibitors for the exhibition, this year’s exhibition has more than 80 Chinese exhibitors participating, involving over 120 brands. Especially with over 70% of exhibitors having previously participated in the Egypt exhibition, the high rate of repeat participation reflects the continuous recognition and support of Chinese exhibitors towards the exhibition.
